PANCAKE BREAKFAST at the Union Church (2 N. Laws St.) Saturday, October 12th 7am to 11am. Menu includes sausage, scrapple, baked apples, pancakes, fruit juice, and hot coffee. Also, Union Church will once again be giving out bottles of water all day on Saturday, Oct. 10th
**March meeting CANCELLED** Our committee meets monthly, on the last Tuesday at 7pm, from February to September in the Bridgeville Library Friends Office. The Library is located at 600 South Cannon Street. If you are looking for a way to give back to the community and volunteer; please join us.
Hosted by the Southern Delaware Street Rod Association from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on Saturday. Car Show participants must arrive between 7am and 9am and enter via Main Street, onto Delaware Avenue. Registration opens at 7:30 am on Delaware Ave.; judging 1:00 - 3:00 (must be registered by 1:00 pm); awards 3:30 pm at Stage. Open to street rods, customs, pro-street, antiques, classics, muscle cars, special interest, 4x4, new cars & trucks, motorcycles (no motor homes or campers). $10.00 registration fee.
The Kiwanis Club sponsors the Apple Scrapple Home Decorating Contest. Registration is not required. All decorations must be within keeping of the Apple Scrapple theme by using apples and scrapple or a fascimilie of each. Contest winners will be announced Friday evening at the main stage. Judging will be completed on Thursday, therefore it is important to have your decorations in place by the Wednesday before the festival.
Visit Delaware's oldest and Sussex County's only commercial apple orchard for tours, demonstrations, exhibits, wagon rides, free samples, and more! Free transportation will be provided between the farm and PNC Bank.
You won’t want to miss the Invitational Scrapple Sling. This event is by “invitation only”, join us as local and state representatives compete for the coveted Scrapple Sling trophy! You never know who may be slinging scrapple; from our Sussex County Council members, local mayors, pageant queens, to County and State officials. The sling will take place on Saturday at approximately 2 p.m. at the stage area, behind the fire hall. Come out and support your favorite. Who will take home the trophy this year? These signature events feature contestants tossing iron skillets and the kids tossing apples! Prizes are awarded to the top finishers in each event. These events will be held on Saturday beginning at 1:00 pm at a NEW LOCATION: 2 N. Laws Street by the cemetary gate! Registration begins at 1:00 for the Apple Toss and 1:30 for the Skillet Toss.
St. Mary's Episcopal Church on North William Street will serve a chili luncheon from 10 am to 3 pm. The lunch will consist of homemade chili, chicken salad sandwiches, rolls, and beverages. The church will also hold a bake sale from 10 am to 3 pm. Also check out the quilt display.

**FULL for 2019**Lots and lots of vendors, both individuals and businesses, will be showcasing their services and wares. The show, held on Walnut Street and Laws Street, begins bright and early at 9 am on Saturday and runs until around 5 pm. Vendor Update: Capacity reached for LulaRoe, Paparazzi, Scentsy, Color Street and Hemp products.

Welcome Shaw and Sons Amusements! Enjoy the rides and help support the Bridgeville Library! Thursday night is our Hometown Carnival night from 4-9pm. Enjoy all the rides with an $18 all you can ride bracelet. Friday night from 4-10pm, ride the rides with a $20 one price bracelet. Saturday, the rides are open from 9:30 am to 11 pm.
